  • The South Hants Koi Show - UK Koi season kicks off with the South Hants Koi Show which takes place on 27th and 28th May. A brief report will appear here before the end of the month with a full in depth look at the winning Koi in Issue 5.

  • The Wakagoi Show - The weekend of 21st and 22nd April sees the staging of the 25th Wakagoi Show in Ojiya, Japan.The Wakagoi show is for young Koi, up to 63cm in length and is considered amongst the 4 most important shows in Japan attracting entrants from all over the country. This year is especially significant as many of the largest Koi will be the first generation Koi since the earthquake that devastated the area in 2004. We'll be there bringing you the earliest, and fullest, coverage of the show. You can read more about the 24th Wakagoi Show here, courtesy of the International Nishikigoi Promotion Center.
  • BKKS Auction at Cuttlebrook Koi - On 7th April the BKKS held an auction of koi bred by Cuttlebrook Koi Farm in Oxford with all profits going to the BKKS.
  • 'Viewers Pond' - Koi keeper Andy Ellis is just in the final stages of completing his second Koi pond in around 3 years having moved home shortly after completing the first. As the pond reaches completion to find out the lessons he has learned during the constuction and any tips he'd have for other about to embark on such a project. We plan to revisit Andy's pond over the course of the next year or so to follow it's progress as it matures.

  • 'Life after KHV' - Yume Koi supplied the Koi which took 3 BKKS Grand Champion awards in 4 years, then things suddenly hit rock bottom. We interview Mike Snaden to find out how he's dealt with the trials and tribulations of KHV, things that have been learnt, information he can share and, most importantly, what lies ahead for Yume Koi and Mike strives back to where they belong.
  • 'Down of the Farm' - The first of what we hope you will find an interesting regular feature on NTV. We visit Koi UK which is just about to enter it's 4th season of full time Koi production. In such a short time Maurice Cox has gained an impressive reputation, and quite a following, for the Koi he produces. We'll find out what lies ahead for Koi UK in 2007.
  • Viewers Pond - James Carters Bakki Showered pond which has grown Koi from tosai to over 80cms in just a few years.
